Koi fish or (Cyprinus carpio) are one type of ornamental fish that is very popular throughout the world, including Indonesia. In the business of maintaining and cultivating koi fish, they often contract diseases which can be a serious problem and can cause losses for the owner and death of the koi fish. The lack of knowledge that koi fish lovers have regarding the diseases that infect koi fish means that koi fish lovers are unable to determine what type of disease infects koi fish and how to treat the disease based on the symptoms that appear on the koi fish. The aim of this research is to design an Expert System for Diagnosing Diseases in Koi Fish Using the Forward Chaining Method and Certainty Factor so that it can help koi fish lovers find out diseases and appropriate treatment methods for koi fish. The method required for this research is a qualitative research method using several techniques for data collection, such as: literature study, observation, interviews and case studies. The results obtained from this research are a Koi Fish Disease Diagnosis Expert System that is accurate and can be used to solve problems faced by koi fish lovers.
