Karakteristik Termal Papan Komposit yang Diperkuat dengan Partikel Cangkang Telur


Abstract


Limbah cangkang telur ayam memiliki potensi digunakan sebagai material penyusun komposit. Cangkang telur merupakan salah satu produk sampingan pabrik pengolahan dan pembuatan makanan. Pembuatan komposit dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kompaksi dingin dan curing. Komposisi papan partikel disusun dengan menggunakan fraksi volume yang terdiri dari 10% resin epoksi, 25% perekat PVAc, 25% partikel kayu sengon, dan rasio antara partikel cangkang telur dan partikel bambu masing-masing adalah 0:40, 20:20, dan 40:0. Komposit papan partikel diberikan paparan panas pada suhu 100 °C dan 200 °C. Pengujian analisis thermogravimetri (TGA) menunjukan bahwa penambahan partikel cangkang telur dapat meningkatkan stabilitas termal dan kekerasan komposit.
