Author Guideline

The editors of “Anargya: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Matematika” welcome article submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. Articles have not been published or accepted for any publication, or are being considered for publication elsewhere. In addition to the manuscript, a written statement should be attached in Supplementary FIle (Step 4 in online submission) which clarifies that the article is original and does not contain any elements of plagiarism. The editor will still do plagiarism screening with Turnitin and be in charge in accepting or declining regarding its result.
  2. Types of articles suitable for publication include the following; research reports (laboratory, field, achieves), conceptual ideas, studies, theory applications in study of Mathematics Education, especially teaching and learning, curriculum development, learning environments, teacher education, educational technology, and educational developments.
  3. The manuscript should be written in the following template and must be in Microsoft Word (.doc)
  4. Articles are written in English or Indonesian Language using academic language along with standard academic writing structure and composition. Manuscript can be submitted through Online Submission System using Open Journal System (OJS) on the “Anargya:Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Matematika” E-journal portal (https://jurnal.umk.ac.id/index.php/anargya/index) or via email anargya@umk.ac.id (ONLY IF you still got some problems in OJS submission).
  5. Articles are typed 1.0 spaced, justified, two columns  (except for abstract, figure or table whose size cannot be reduced due to its readability), in a quarto paper size (A4) and in Times New Rowman font 10pt, between 5-10 pages in length including abstract, references, pictures, and tables.
  6. The manuscript should contain several aspects of a scientific article as follows: (subtitles as the order), which are: (a) the title of the article, (b) the author’s name (no academic title), (c) the affiliated author’s, (d) the author’s email (e) the abstract and the keywords, five main headings:
  7. The title of the manuscript must be as brief as possible and must represent the content of the manuscript.
  8. The Abstract is written in two languages: Indonesian and English or only in English if the full text is written in English, as a representation of the manuscript. The abstract should 150-250 words for each language format, written narratively comprising aims/objectives, method, and findings of the research/article, in one paragraph.
  9. Keywords: words or phrases which are important, specific, or representative to the article.
  10. Pendahuluan (Introduction); Contains background, rationale, and/or urgency of the research. References (relevant literature or research), need to be included in this section, its relationship to the justification of the urgency of the research, the appearance of the research problem, the solution alternatives, and the selected solution. 
  11. Metode (Method); Contains the type of research, time and place of research, targets, subjects, procedures, instruments and techniques of data analysis and other matters related to the way research
  12. Hasil dan Pembahasan (Findings and Discussion); The results of the research are presented in the form of graphs, tables, or descriptive. Analysis and interpretation of these results are needed before they are discussed. The discussion is focused on linking the data and the results of its analysis to the problems or objectives of the study and the broader theoretical context. It can also be the answer to the question of why such facts are found like the data. The discussion is written inherent with the data discussed. The discussion is attempted not to separated from the data discussed.
  13. Simpulan (Conclusions); Conclusions can be proper generalized findings according to research problems, it can also be proper a recommendation for the next step.
  14. Daftar Pustaka (References); For Citation and bibliography suggested use the Reference Manager app, such as Zotero, Mendeley, or other paid apps. Written in single space, inter-library is spaced. There should be at least 10 references appear at the end of the article and includes only literatures actually cited in the manuscripts. About 70% of the references are supposed to be primary resources. References are ordered alphabetically and chronologically. The references of the article are in the form of journals and non-journals which are published in the last 10 years.
  15. To help with the printing, shipping, and the administrative costs, contributors whose articles are published will be asked to contribute with minimum amount of 350K IDR and in return is entitled to 2 (two) copy of the printed issue in which the article appears (for free). The postal services have been included (for  Indonesian authors especially in Java). Additional copies are available on request upon payment of IDR 50,000 each.
