Author Guidelines

Instructions for (Prospective) Writers of Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi

Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi always open for submission. The articles submitted will be screened and scheduled by editorial team. Articles submitted for publication in Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi should conform to the following guidelines

  1. All submission in open journal system based. Prospective writer or the corresponding author should register in https://jurnal.umk.ac.id/index.php/ekspresi/user/register
  2. The articles must follow the focus and scope of the Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi
  3. The articles are the results of the writer's paper which do not indicate plagiarism which are evidenced by the results of the plagiarism check aplication by the editorial team. Plagiarism tolerance should be under 20 percent
  4. Articles have not been published in journals or other publishing media or are in the process of publishing in other journals. The author is required to fill out a statement form [Statement Of Originality Form], and sent back via the upload supplementary files form (step no.4 when submitting the article). If the author wants to include other supporting files, please put the files together and compress (zip) together with the author's statement form.
  5. Articles written for the Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi are in the form of research results, either empirical (such as quantitative/quantitative methods) or non-empirical (such as meta-analysis/literature review) in the field of Psychology
  6. Articles consist of 4000-6000 words outside of titles, abstracts, and bibliography
  7. Articles can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English
  8. The organisation of the writing is followed the template of Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi. Template journal can be accesed here (Bahasa Indonesia) and here (English).
  9. In writing references and bibliography using the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition style
  10. References used are not more than the last 5 year
  11. It is recommended to use Mendeley or Zotero reference management
  12. It is recommended to cite articles in the Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi
  13. Willing to follow the rules and the process of publishing the Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi

Instructions for submitting articles online

  1. Manuscripts of articles must be submitted through the Online Submission System on the E-Journal Psikologi Ekspresi portal (https://jurnal.umk.ac.id/index.php/Ekspresi/). The steps for submitting a manuscript are as follows:
  2. The author registers as an author (ticking the role as Author) in the "Register" or address: https://jurnal.umk.ac.id/index.php/Ekspresi/user/register
  3. After the Author is logged in as Author, click on "New Submission". The article submission stage consists of 5 stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation
  4. In the Start section, select Journal Section (Full Article), check all checklists.
  5. In the Upload Submission section, please upload the article manuscript file in MS Word in this section.
  6. In the Enter Metadata section, enter the data of all authors and affiliations, followed by the title and abstract, and indexing keywords.
  7. In the Upload Supplementary Files section, it is permissible to upload supporting data files or cover letters or other documents.
  8. In the Confirmation section, please click "Finish Submission" if all data is correct.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The statement has not been previously published, or is under consideration in another journal. The statement letter can be downloaded here, and sent back by email to the editorial journal.ekspresi@umk.ac.id after being signed and affixed with a stamp. Or you can sent via Supplementary Files on submission page
  2. Manuscript files in Microsoft Word document file formats (.docx). Use this journal template (English | Indonesia) to submit manuscripts
  3. Provide a reference URL for available references.
  4. 1 space text; font 12; italic; not underlined (except URL address); and all illustrations, figures and tables placed in the text at their proper point, not at the end.
  5. Text that complies with the requirements regarding the library and language style is outlined according to the journal writing article templates provided.
  6. Manuscripts are willing to be returned or requested for revision if there are duplications that exceed the maximum duplication value required by the editorial staff
 

Copyright Notice

  1. The author transfers the copyright to the Jurnal Psikologi Perseptual if or when the article is accepted for publication. However, the author retains intellectual property rights to the work so that the author can freely reproduce it again.
  2. All works published by the Jurnal Psikologi Perseptual can be used by everyone licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Internasional (CC BY-SA 4.0) license that allows others to use and share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

 

Privacy Statement

All information received, both the name and email address entered on the Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi site will only be used for the purposes of the journal as listed on the Jurnal Psikologi Ekspresi website, and will not be disclosed to other parties for any purpose.
