DESIGN AND BUILD A COUNSELING AND MONITORING APPLICATION FOR THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS (CASE STUDY: JEPARA APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY BUREAU GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT CLINIC)

Abstract


The growth and development of children with special needs (ABK) is very different from normal children. Most parents of ABK are not ready to educate or lack knowledge in educating ABK so that they need special mentoring activities or counseling therapy from a psychologist so that ABK can develop properly. During the Covid pandemic, counseling therapy activities that are usually carried out face-to-face are not recommended so they must be carried out online. To overcome this problem, researchers developed a counseling and monitoring application for the growth and development of children with special needs. This research can make it easier for therapists and parents to conduct counseling during the Covid pandemic like this and facilitate monitoring the growth and development of ABK.
