Bagaimana Pendidikan di Mata Anak Jalanan : Menguji Peran Efikasi Diri Pada Perilaku Pencarian Pertolongan Akademik

Abstract


Perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik sangat di butuhkan sebagai upaya pencapaian keberhasilan proses belajar anak, terutama pada masalah Anak Jalanan yang perlu membagi waktu antara belajar dan bekerja. Faktor yang diduga dapat mempengaruhi perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik ialah efikasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran efikasi diri terhadap perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik di Kalangan Anak Jalanan. Partisipan penelitian ini menggunakan 100 partisipan Anak Jalanan yang berada di Kota Palembang dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dalam model skala likert yang teknik pengambilan partisipan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun variabel di dalam penelitian adalah efikasi diri dan perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik. Kedua variabel ini akan di lakukan pengukuran menggunakan skala Likert yang di buat peneliti berdasarkan teori Bandura (1997) dengan dimensi efikasi diri, yaitu level, generality dan strength dan perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik dari Pajares, Cheong, dan Oberman (2004) berdasarkan aspek Instrumental help seeking, executive help seeking, avoidance help seeking, dan perceived benefits of help seeking. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa efikasi diri memiliki peran terhadap perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik pada anak jalanan. Tidak hanya itu perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik dan efikasi diri anak jalanan terbilang berada di kategori rendah. Selain itu, ada perbedaan perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik dan efikasi diri jika ditinjau berdasarkan usia ataupun tingkat pendidikan. Merekomendasikan penelitian selanjutnya untuk membahas perilaku pencarian pertolongan akademik didasari stigma sosial ataupun model pendekatan pembelajaran di kelas.
