Author Guidelines

ARTICLE CLASSIFICATION

Business Management Analysis Journal (BMAJ) accepts articles in the form of research papers containing reports on quantitative research conducted by the author(s). This includes empirical research, testing of data, and constructing or testing of a framework regarding current business and management.

GENERAL GUIDE

  1. All manuscripts must be submitted through Business Management Analysis Journal Online Submission E-Journal Portal (http://jurnal.umk.ac.id/index.php/bmaj/index)
  2. Author submitting a manuscript do have understanding that if the corresponding paper is accepted, then the copyright will be assigned to Business Management Analysis Journal as publisher of the journal.
  3. Author must guarantee that the article is original; have yet to be published or will not be published by other journals/proceedings.
  4. Article is an empirical study. The sharpness of critically analysis and synthesis is prioritized.
  5. Review process is conducted in blind peer review process with the peer group system, which is reinforced by the qualified reviewers in their field.
  6. Article is written according to the rule of BMAJ. The editorial team reserves the right to revise the style of writing with a note that it does not change the intent and quality of the article.
  7. Manuscript articles that use primary data research or experimentation must also include the surveys document (questionnaires and other instruments) as the supplementary document.

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

  1. Article is well-written in English. Article is typed with Times New Roman Font size of 12 points in 1,5 line spaced on A4 paper, page margin for top, down, left and right is 1 inch.
  2. Article file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Article is written as efficient as possible corresponding with the needs ranging from 12- 25 pages, with references and citation according APA 6th style system that is writing references in parentheses (author date parenthetical referencing) which contains the name of the author and the year of the article. Example: (Boyd, McGarry, & Clarke, 2016) Refer to the textbook without page number. Example: (Best, 2009)
  4. Article Systematic
  • Title: Font style used is Times New Roman 12pt, uppercase, bolded and centered
  • Identity of Author: Font style used is Times New Roman 12pt, capitalized each word, bolded and centered
  • Abstract: Abstract is written in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia is only mandatory when the article is written in Bahasa Indonesia, Font style used in the abstract is Times New Roman 12, single space with distance before and after text is 0 pt. Abstract consist of no more than 180 words.

       5. Tables, Figures and Graphs
  • Tables, figures and charts are presented as efficient as possible
  • Number followed by title is given in each presented tables, figures and charts.
  • Sources of tables, figures, and charts must be included.
  • Figures should be prepared in printable form.

       6. References

  • It must include all the sources (article journal, proceeding, presentation, etc) by following American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style (6th edition).
  • Only contains references referred to in the text. It should be written alphabetically based on the initial letter of the first author's name.
  • The way of writing the name of the author whose work is quoted is consistent with the way of writing the name in the reference list.
  • Materials mainly referred to recent publications from the last of 10 years. The references are expected to be 80% of the primary source.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

In terms of manuscript submission it is implies that:
The submitted article to BMAJ has never been published before; It is not under consideration for publication in another journal; If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors agree to transfer the copyright to BMAJ.
